The 1st Bradley Stoke Scout Group is looking for volunteers to undertake a number of roles as it increases in size over the coming months, from around 180 young people to possibly 350. This can provide an opportunity for staff to gain professional development, as well as being rewarding in its own right.
Roles include: -
- Group Treasurer, which would suit an experienced accountant to lead the financial activities associated with a charity status organisation and provide support to the existing accountancy qualified volunteers (previous knowledge of charity accounting is not required).
- Fund raisers to support the Group in seeking to supplement their finances, particularly for capital asset acquisitions.
- Administrators to assist effective management.
- Uniformed volunteers as Beaver, Cub or Scout leaders.
The nature of some of these posts means a formal application form will be required, which could include a criminal record check. There is no closing date but they are keen for volunteers to get involved as soon as possible. If you think you can help or would like more information email Nick Nelson
