Job shadowing opportunities with the Food Standards Agency

Type of opportunity:   Job Shadowing with Service Delivery Managers (SEO) and Meat Hygiene Inspectors (EO)

Department:   Food Standards Agency (FSA)

Location: Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Hampshire, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Birmingham and Wales

The FSA is mainly a service delivery environment with specialist technical input from inspection and veterinary personnel.  It is a small department by Civil Service standards, which means that staff get involved in many areas of work as part of their management and specialist roles.  This is a great chance to experience operational delivery in a different organisation.

Duration: 1 to 2 days depending on the participant's requirements.

For further information about the opportunities available contact Darren Whitby, Operations Manager or Glen Leat, Head of Operational Delivery

or in Wales contact Tina.Potter .

How to apply: Complete the generic application form and email to Heidi Stephens (Civil Service Local south west and Wales).  You don't need to write 250 words on the application form, but please give some indication as to why you want to apply for the opportunity and what you want to gain from it.
