We are running awareness sessions in conjunction with the Carers Support Service and open to any Civil Servants. The first session is for carers and the second is for those that manage staff with caring responsibilities
Carer Training is a 2hr session for existing carers that looks at what it means to be carer, the services provided by Carers Support Centre and an overview of the Carers in paid employment project. The session gives the carer the opportunity to discuss the support currently on offer from their employer, highlight workplace policies/procedures, whilst having the opportunity to confidentially voice any concerns carers face whilst juggling work and caring.
Carer Line Manager Training is a 1hr session that looks at what it means to be carer, the services provided by Carers Support Centre and an overview of the Carers in paid employment project. The session helps line managers identify and support carers, highlight workplace policies/procedures and understand the business benefit of supporting carers.
