It's that time of year where many of us start to take stock and think about trying something new or getting involved in something different. Different is something we're good at in Civil Service Local and we're always looking for new people to inspire through our projects. If you're looking for a way to improve your confidence and build your skills and capability, we may have an opportunity that suits you. Thanks to those who have already been in touch. There is still one role we need to fill right now.
We are looking for someone to oversee our teams who are already working on our current hospice projects in Blackpool, Preston and Liverpool. We'll also be fostering new relationships with other hospices and business units to help us introduce our offering into other parts of the north west from 2017 to 2018. This role will test and develop some of your key skills including: internal and external relationship building, managing resources, communication and managing competing priorities. In this role, you will be connecting with, and influencing the delivery and deployment of teams into varied business models helping some of our most vulnerable citizens at their time of greatest need.
This volunteering opportunity involves a likely commitment of half a day per week, plus occasional travel to business units and hospices to support the project team and to promote the service.
Before you consider applying to volunteer for this opportunity, you must discuss your development needs and ability to commit to the project with your manager. Once you have agreed with your manager, please do contact us to find out more about the role. Thanks.
