The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) are an organisation who aim to improve working life through better employment relations, by helping employers and employees to solve problems and work together effectively.

We are offering the opportunity to attend a discovery session to find out more about the role of ACAS in the workplace.

The session will give an overview of the number of different services that ACAS offer as an organisation. These include:

  • Individual & Collective Conciliation - how the organisation helps parties in dispute to reach or make progress towards agreed settlements.
  • Mediation – ways in which ACAS offers trained mediators to facilitate the resolution of workplace disputes.
  • Good Practice Services – how ACAS can advise organisations and train managers in  effective people management and employment relations
  • Helpline – how their Helpline offers independent, impartial, confidential and practical advice to all parties in the workplace.

Time: 11:00 to 13:00

Please note that you will need to seek authorisation from your line manager in order to attend this event.  Any travel and subsistence costs must be met by your home department and lunch wont be provided.
