The Role of ACAS

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: North East, Yorkshire and the Humber

acasThe Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) are an organisation who aim to improve working life through better employment relations, by helping employers and employees to solve problems and work together effectively.

We are offering the opportunity to attend a Discovery Session to find out more about the role of ACAS in the workplace.

Overview

The session will give an overview of the number of different services that ACAS offer as an organisation. These include:

  • Arbitration – how ACAS act as an arbitrator to offer an alternative to employment tribunals;
  • Collective conciliation – how the organisation helps parties in dispute to reach or make progress towards agreed settlements;
  • Mediation – ways in which ACAS offers trained mediators to facilitate the resolution of workplace disputes.

Where and when?

Thursday 24 November, 10:00 – 12:00

BP2313, Benton Park View, Newcastle upon Tyne

We would like to encourage participation from a range of departments - so if you're interested in joining the session, please email Kelly Roush.
