We’ve been really busy the past couple of months in Blackpool and Oldham helping a range of vulnerable citizens improve their digital skills. Our “Do Digital” pilots have proved a huge success and we’re about to start a new course with Age UK in January. Here’s our photo-story so far….

Discovering opportunities in project management

The first discovery session on project and programme management has been held at Preston’s Kirkham prison, with a diverse audience of North West civil servants taking part. Alex Scott, covering his first CS Local event, found that the knowledge the audience took away with them could be a springboard into a new career.

Inspired to achieve

Inspiring people to be the best that they can be is at the heart of Civil Service Local’s programme of events. Glenn Atkins, who now works at the Department for Education, was inspired by attending the Academy and has used his experience as a springboard to further his career – and develop himself.
