Carers across the Civil Service have said that accessing the right information at the right time and knowing what support is available is a challenge. The Charity has listened to them.

Together with Carers UK, The Charity for Civil Servants have developed a new Digital Resource for carers.

The Digital Resource is packed full of information, guides and tools to help you manage your caring responsibilities. Highlights include:

  • a range of e-learning courses, guides and downloads covering topics such as your health, wellbeing, assistive technology and young carers
  • the Upfront Guide: a unique self-assessment tool that gives you personalised advice and information about your caring role and how the Charity may be able to support you
  • access to the Carers UK online forum with the chance to interact with other like-minded carers
  • the Jointly App: a free to download tool to help you manage shared caring responsibilities

To access the Carers’ Digital Resource visit www.foryoubyyou.org.uk/caring

For further information and advice from the Charity about any concerns you might have, including caring, take a look at their website www.foryoubyyou.org.uk or call to speak to an Advisor in confidence on Freephone 0800 056 2424.

Please Note: Due to varying IT access restrictions across the Civil Service, you will likely have the best experience accessing the Carers’ Digital Resource on either your smartphone, tablet device or home computer.
