'Digital by Default' was the subject of a recent west midlands discovery session when staff heard from the Government Digital Service and the Office of the Public Guardian.
The Government Digital Service gave an overview of its work and explained the background to the digital agenda. This was followed by a presentation from staff in the Office of the Public Guardian who are working closely the Government Digital Services to develop its digital services and is seen as one of the front runners in making this happen. They spoke about the practicalities of going digital and the challenges it brings.
The presentations were followed by a very lively interactive session where delegates had the opportunity to design 'product boxes' which proved to be a resounding success.
Feedback was extremely positive - so much so that another session is planned for the near future.
