Discover Devolution in Southampton

image of John HaskeyIn conjunction with the Cabinet Office I am piloting a new Discovery Session for a small number of people from different departments.

You'll get the chance to understand more about the concept of One Civil Service and help us try out new material.

If this proves to be a success, we may run more sessions on this topic in future to a wider audience.

We need your input and opinions to help influence potential future sessions.

So, what is devolution?

Devolution means the transfer of some previously centralised UK powers to the parliament and assemblies of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Discover how this is relevant to you and your role.

This session is being held at the Maritime and Coastguard Agency offices in Southampton (near the railway station) on 25 August, at 11:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 16:00.

Places are limited and I will need to ensure that participants come from a range of departments.

If you're interested in joining the session, please drop me an email stating which time slot you would prefer and I will see if that can be fitted in. It would be helpful if you can let me know if you have a Common Civil Service Pass as it makes reception arrangements easier.

I hope you will find this an interesting, informative and enjoyable session.
