Civil Service Local working in partnership with the YMCA, is looking for volunteers to help with two of their workshops being held at their Job Club.

Firstly we need people to carry out mock interviews on the 12th September in St Sidwell’s Centre, Exeter from 13:00 – 15:00. This is a fantastic opportunity to refresh your interview skills, meet people from other Government departments and help people gain confidence in an interview situation.

Secondly we are seeking volunteers for the Digital Awareness session on the 26th September, also in St Sidwell’s Centre, Exeter from 13:00 – 15:00. You don't need to be a computer expert to volunteer – just have some patience and a willingness to help others learn some very basic IT skills. You will help the YMCA Service users develop the basic skills they need to be confident online.

Civil Servants are entitled to three days special leave a year  for volunteering activities. Volunteering can help you to increase your skills/competences and it also gives you the opportunity to be active in your local community.

If you are interested in helping out with either of these events, or require any additional information please contact Louise Ferris. If you wish to apply then please ensure you have your line manager’s agreement and then email your preferred dates to Louise or telephone 01752 618201.

Civil Service Local is committed to ensuring that wherever possible our events are accessible to all participants. If you have any specific requirements that will enable you to fully participate, please let us know and we will endeavour to make any reasonable adjustments.
