As we know Christmas can be a difficult time for individuals and families on extremely tight budgets. One way you can help is by volunteering a couple of hours of your time on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd December at one of the UK’s largest supermarkets in a location near you.
Duties involve handing out shopping lists to customers entering the store, asking them to buy and donate an item, thanking customers for their donations, and sorting and crating up donations ready for transporting.
Donations are used to provide three-days of nutritionally balanced, emergency food to people in crisis that have been referred by frontline professional agencies such as Citizens Advice or children’s centres.
