Negotiations are a vital part of government work. Whether within departments, across Whitehall or between states, securing joint-decisions that deliver value for all parties is an essential civil service skill set. Effective negotiators require a clear-eyed understanding of interests, impactful communication and strong relationships. Above all, it requires detailed planning.
This workshop offers tools and techniques that can be used in any negotiation. The material and case studies focus on international affairs. A trained facilitator with experience from diplomatic postings in New York and Brussels will take participants through an introduction to negotiation theory, as well as exercises to practice your skills.
When: Tuesday 21 August 13:00 to 15:00
Where: HM Treasury, Room G33, 1 Horse Guards Road, London, SW1A 2HQ
Book your ticket here. Please use your work email to register.

Looks great but I am training on that day. Any other venues (further south) possible?

Is there any possibility of courses being available to access via Hangouts or Skype to enable those not in South to participate?
Cheers

This the first time we are running this but assuming it is a success we are aiming to run it in other parts of the country and possibly via hangout/Skype or similar.

Thanks for organising this. I attended this week's workshop and highly recommend it. The trainer was very experienced, knowledgeable and engaging. I look forward to further workshops on this topic!
