In association with ebp South we are pleased to offer the following volunteering opportunities in the Portsmouth and Southampton area.
October 2018
- Friday 5 October, Applemore School, New Forest —Timings TBC
Business Speed Networking —Year 9
Students will take part in interactive sessions with different organisations where they will learn about different sectors or career paths and opportunities post 16.
- Wednesday 10 October, Hounsdown School, Totton, Southampton—Timings TBC
Interview Preparation Day—Year 10
Students will gain an understanding on how to prepare for interviews and what employers are looking for including CV preparation, body language, interview skills and assessment centre tasks. Seeking volunteers to facilitate workshops.
- Wednesday 17 October, Park Community School, Havant—Timings TBC

November 2018
- Thursday 8 November, Charter Academy, Portsmouth, Timings TBC
Business Speed Networking — Year 9 and 10
Students will take part in interactive sessions during the day where they will learn about different sectors or career paths and opportunities post 16.
- Monday 19 November, Wimborne Junior School, Portsmouth — 09.00 to 10.00
Guess My Job — Year 5
A team of 4 volunteers from a range of professional backgrounds are required to participate in a ‘Guess My Job’ session with 9/10 year olds. A simple one or two hour session on a 15 minute rotation with props and visuals.
- Thursday 22 November, Medina Primary School, Portsmouth — 09.00 to 10.00

A team of 4 volunteers from a range of professional backgrounds are required to participate in a ‘Guess My Job’ session with 9/10 year olds. A simple one or two hour session on a 15 minute rotation with props and visuals.

Students will take part in interactive sessions with different organisations where they will learn about different sectors or career paths and opportunities post 16.
- Friday 30th November, Purbrook Park School, Waterlooville 08.30 to 15.00
CSI Day—Year 8
Students will take part in a mock criminal investigation with the aid of Business Volunteers from science and legal professions in order to gain team work skills and an overview of careers in the law enforcement sector.
December 2018
- Monday 10 December, Charter Academy, Portsmouth - Timings TBC

Employer Interview Day —Year 11
Students will take part in a mock interview, having prepared a CV and attended a preparation day previously.
- Wednesday 12 December, Flying Bull Academy, Portsmouth—09.00 to 11.00
Guess My Job — Year 5/6
A team of 4 volunteers from a range of professional backgrounds are required to participate in a ‘Guess My Job’ session with 9/10 year olds. A simple one or two hour session on a 15 minute rotation with props and visuals.
If you are interested in taking part in any of these opportunities please email us detailing which event you are interested in.
Please remember to discuss with your line manager before volunteering and if you do take part remember to record any objectives/outcomes in your reports/development plans.
