Live in Wales…? Work in Wales…? Speak Welsh…?

Welcome to Wales sign

Bore Da!

We are holding a Discovery Session aimed at non Welsh-speaking civil servants that work in Wales and are keen to learn some conversational Welsh.

Not all of us are fortunate enough to be born Welsh, but wouldn’t it be lovely to be able to greet your Welsh colleagues with some simple phrases? Our workshop will be a fun and light-hearted session aimed at giving you a flavour of the Welsh language with the possibility of pursuing your development if you wish to. Our speakers are members of their departmental Welsh language units and will entertain you with some interactive fun and games. We may throw some Welsh language history in for you too.

We’re sure that you will enjoy this Discovery session and will be keen to put what you have learned into practise when you return to work.

The sessions will be held on Wednesday February 13 at The Law Courts, Raikes Ln, Mold CH7 1AE.  You will be able to choose a morning or an afternoon session, depending on availability.

Morning session - 9:30 to 12:30 - Book your ticket here

Afternoon session - 13:00 to 16:00 - Book your ticket here

N.B. Please ensure you bring photo ID with you.  There is a large paid car park within 2 minutes walk of the court buildings. Refreshments will be provided, but not lunch. You will need to seek authorisation from your line manager before expressing an interest in this event. Any travel and subsistence cost must be met by your home department.

For further information please contact sam.hodgson@cabinetoffice.gov.uk

We are committed to ensuring that wherever possible our events are accessible to all participants. If you have any specific requirements that will enable you to fully participate, please let us know and we will endeavour to make any reasonable adjustments.

Diolch yn fawr (thank you very much).
