We have volunteering opportunities to help and inspire young people in association with the Peterborough Skills Service. The events will take place at the Arthur Mellows Village College in Peterborough and is open to all grades.

We are looking for one volunteer for each event day from a range of professional backgrounds to participate in an activity to support year eight students with their career knowledge in an event called ‘Guess the Professional’.

'Guess the Professional' is an activity that involves students guessing the careers of the volunteers by working in small groups to work out the answers.

The event dates are as follows:
Friday 17 January 2020 11:45 to 12:35
Monday 20 January 2020 09:00 to 09:50
Wednesday 22 January 2020 13:25 to 14:15
Friday 24 January 2020 14:15 to  15:05
Wednesday 29 January 2020 10:55 to 11:45
Thursday 06 February 2020 13:25 to 14:15

Why get involved?

• It's good for your CV
• To give back to your local community
• To help the next generation develop their skills
• It's a fun interactive way to volunteer
• It can be a one-off commitment
• It can help motivate you
• It can be very rewarding

If you are interested in taking part please email Jonathan Agard stating which date you are available by 20 December 2019.
Before expressing your interest, please discuss this opportunity with your line manager to ensure you are able to take the time away from your work. Any travel and subsistence will need to be met by your home department.
