We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the CS Local Cymru Wales Future Leaders Academy.
Are you looking for the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, work alongside civil servants from across departments in Wales with the support of your own mentor? If so then please read on.
What is an 'Academy'?
The Future Leaders Academy is for those who have shown potential to become a manager and leader but could benefit from further development. It supports the vision for A Brilliant Civil Service which is to have inspiring, confident and empowering leaders and skilled people who take personal responsibility. The Academy is a cross-departmental opportunity, open to Administrative and Executive Officer and equivalent grades.
The programme is for 12 months and consists of action learning modules based on the four pillars of the vision for the Civil Service: Skilled People, Effective Leaders, A Great Place to Work and Improved Outcomes, as well as the Civil Service Leadership Statement.
Delegates will receive support from a mentor and will work with a facilitator and group of civil servants from other departments to develop and take part in a project on a theme from the vision. This enables participants to develop skills that can be transferred between departments and establish networks to develop an appreciation of the wider Civil Service.
How can I get involved?
Departments and agencies have been allocated places based on their proportional representation across Wales.
Departments are responsible for deciding how their places are filled and have been asked to provide their nominations by Wednesday 5 February 2020. If you are interested in this opportunity, please look out for communications within your organisation or speak to your line manager.
Any further queries please contact Catherine Isik.

Hi
My line manager has agreed I can take part in this and I would like to apply. I can see the above reply to Paul's question, should all applications be made by email to Catherine Isik?
Thanks
