Civil Service Connect is coming to the new Government Hub, 3 Glass Wharf, in Bristol on 25th February and we want you to join us.

This event provides an opportunity for civil servants to build new networks, find out more about departments in the area and build your skills and knowledge by attending learning sessions on a range of subjects relevant to a cross-departmental audience. There will be a marketplace of departmental stalls and an opportunity to hear from an inspirational guest speaker.

Who is involved?

A wide range of departments and organisations are participating in the event, including HMRC, MOD, ACAS, Environment Agency, DEFRA, Cabinet Office, CSSC, the Surge and Rapid Response Team, Animal & Plant Health Agency, Crown Commercial Service, Rural Payments Agency and the SW and Wales Social Mobility network.

The event supports the vision for a Brilliant Civil Service which encourages departments to be connected and innovative, promoting the Civil Service as a great place to work.

Please only register for the sessions that you intend to attend as due to the limited number of places available, you may be preventing others from participating in the day.

In parallel with these sessions, there will be an inaugural network meeting for senior leaders in Bristol, taking place from 10am until 11.30am. If you are G6 or SCS and are interested in strengthening collaboration between departments in Bristol by harnessing your collective leadership skills, please email Luke Buchan

This event can count towards your 5 a year learning and development days. You will need to seek authorisation from your line manager in order to attend and any travel and subsistence expenses must be met by your home department.

You will need to bring your staff pass to gain entrance. Refreshments can be purchased during the day from the onsite café. A discount will be available for hot drinks if you bring along a re-useable cup.
