Durham and Sunderland Education Business Partnerships (EBP) aim to bring business and education together and you could help them. EBPs work with schools to enrich the education of students and to enhance their employability skills. They can only achieve this with support from people like you facilitating a range of high quality work related activities to give students an insight to the world of work.
These activities benefit the students and can enhance your skills in team building and presentations as well as building your confidence. You can volunteer to participate in one off activities or agree a schedule of events, whatever suits the business needs in your area. A member of the Education Business Partnership attends every event and you will be fully supported.
Key to the success of Durham EBP is the excellent support received from local businesses who encourage staff to volunteer as ‘Business Ambassadors’ and participate in activities in schools”. The Ambassadors from HM Passport ffice and HMRC are extremely enthusiastic and an inspiration to students. We are delighted to have developed such a successful partnership and appreciate the support.
