Inspiring Futures Careers Event: Wednesday 18th February: Leeds Civic Hall, Calverley Street, Leeds, LS3 1AA: 10am - 1.30pm There are many young people in Leeds who are talented, enthusiastic and willing to work but are struggling to secure a job or are unsure what job might suit them. The Inspiring Futures event will be attended by 16-24yr olds who are not currently in employment or training and who just need a bit of extra support choosing their direction in life. LEBP is looking for local business people to help inspire the futures of these young people by attending this event. You will talk to the young people about your organisation and run a little activity with them that helps them to understand what working there involves.

Interactive Workplace Careers Event: Monday 23 February 2015: Leeds City College Park Lane, Leeds LS3 1AA: 8.30am - 3pm If you'd like to help young people explore different careers and get closer to finding their dream job, then the Interactive Workplace careers event is for you. At this event, you will deliver multiple 20min workshops about your organisation to groups of 5-6 students at a time. You will use 10 minutes to run a practical activity with students that gives them a flavour of a typical task they may find themselves doing if they did get a job in the civil service. Informative, insightful, inspirational... Interested? 2 businesses needed.

You're Hired! Interview Skills Training: Monday 16 March 2015: Benton Park School, Harrogate Road, Leeds LS1 1UJR: 8.30am - 3.30pm At the You're Hired! interview skills training event you will support a team of 6 students to participate in a series of tasks designed to teach them how to succeed at a job interview. We ask that volunteers for this event have some previous experience of conducting interviews e.g. in a recruitment / HR / team manager role. This event is lead from the front by a member of the EBP and your role is to ensure your team understand the tasks set and help them to perform well by giving guidance and sharing your experience of how to succeed at interview.
