Exciting. Insightful. Rewarding. Thought-provoking. Stimulating. Inspiring. Awesome.
These are just some of the words that civil servants used to describe the highly successful, interactive Reserves Experience which took place in London at the end of January and is now being rolled out across the UK.
The first of these regional events will take place on 24 June in Birmingham at the Birmingham Council House, 1 Victoria Square, Birmingham B1 1BB
The Birmingham Reserves Experience will be based around a number of 'immersive experience' stands demonstrating some of the capabilities that reservists might be expected to support on operations – such as Force Protection, Logistics and Capacity Building and Intelligence. These will link to a fictional but highly plausible operational scenario which will be revealed at the beginning of the event.
You will then have the opportunity to talk to reservists from the Royal Navy, Army and RAF and find out more about the benefits of combining reserve service with a career as a civil servant.
Whether you’re an individual civil servant, a line manager or in HR, you will discover how the training, skills and experience gained in the reserves can be used to improve performance in the civil service.
