NCEAOn Wednesday 9 March 2016, during National Careers Week, the Josephine Butler Campus in Ashington, Northumberland are having their annual World of Work Day (WOW). This takes place from 10.00-13.00 and involves their Year 7-13 students, age 11-19, attending a careers exhibition throughout the morning at allotted times.

The event is organised as a traditional careers fair and all exhibitors are asked to bring something interactive, educational and fun for students to experience. Please see the flyer for more details and photos of last year’s event.

The WOW Day is possibly the highlight of the Careers calendar for most students and they benefit hugely from the day, often referring to conversations they have had with visitors for many weeks afterwards during their 1:1 interviews.

Walbottle Campus on Hexham Road, Newcastle upon Tyne is also holding a similar event on 9 February between 14:00 - 17:00.

If you would like to volunteer for either opportunity please email Victoria Faulder (please do not directly email the schools).
