'Easy' according to the George Gershwin song but what does summertime conjure up in your mind? Wimbledon, picnics, days at the beach, holidays, rainy days? You will all have your own ideas, but there will be some common themes.
That’s very much what it is like for CS Local, we have common themes; connecting people, bringing together departments at a local level; building capability for all by sharing expertise; improving the lives of vulnerable citizens by harnessing the voluntary power of the Civil Service. Yet for everyone in the team, and those who work with us, we are encouraged to have our own ideas about how we deliver our objectives. This results in exciting and innovative activities happening across the country, bringing to life our vision for ‘A brilliant Civil Service’.
You can read about us and about some of the ideas we are developing in our Business Plan. Recent activities include new discovery sessions on the topics of managing stress and respect in the workplace and we are sending volunteers out into local communities to help get customers online.
