We recently extended the membership of the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber Engagement Network and the group met in Newcastle last week. There were representatives from 11 departments and agencies and the meeting was an opportunity for them to make new contacts, share experiences and learn from each other.
One of the aims of the network is to invite speakers to share good practice and their experiences of improving people engagement in their own organisations. At this first meeting of the refreshed network, Michael Purvis, Legal Aid Agency, gave an interesting presentation about how the LAA is using Intrinsic Motivation as part of its work on engagement.
