Across the Civil Service there are many examples of innovative and inspiring school engagement initiatives delivered by colleagues across departments. With that in mind we are looking to set up a cross-government network aimed at sharing knowledge and best practice. If you are currently in a role which involves increasing social mobility across the Civil Service by engaging with primary and secondary schools, then we would like to hear from you.
The group's purpose will largely be to:
- Form a network of people whose role involves engaging with schools, across all government departments in the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber
- Share knowledge, good practice, learning and development and support each other to understand priorities and challenges facing each department;
- Identify opportunities to work collaboratively with local schools
- Act as a virtual network for members to contact each other via email and other appropriate communication channels.
