Help build your local Civil Service community

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Scotland

Be part of the first CS Local Discovery Sessions taking place in Edinburgh and Glasgow and East Kilbride in June.

You will hear from a local senior leader from the host department on the current priorities and challenges and how we can contribute to A Brilliant Civil Service.

Then take part in cross-government conversations about the types of things CS Local should do in Scotland, hear what we are all about and what we have been up to.

You will also have the opportunity to have discussions with colleagues from other departments how we can work together more effectively through some of the departmental boundaries and how we can build a Civil Service Community.

Interested? Please agree with your manager that you can attend and then use the links below to register for your place. Please ensure you use the correct link for your Department. Note that some people in DWP will need to use the alternative browser as EventBrite doesn't work properly in the default one.

For those staff in HMRC and DWP please use the following links to book your place:

I was fortunate enough to sneak a place on the Civil Service Local North West programme last year.
I was part of a cross civil service team of 8 folk set a year long challenge to help a part of the civil service solve a particular problem.
My team mates (family!) were civil servants from Foods Standard Agency, Ministry of Justice, DWP, MOD and HM Prison service and me, from HMRC.
It's a fantastic thing to be part of and learn and share best practices between different Civil Service departments.
