We’ve started making plans for this year’s 2019 CS Local South West Academy and have now approached points of contact within your departments to send us their nominations.

Successful candidates will attend a four-day residential in Plymouth from 24th to 27th September.  The event is aimed at staff up to and including first line manager level (AA, AO and EO grade) who are keen to develop, have ambition and enthusiasm. We are looking for delegates with potential to become leaders who are positive, dynamic and will act as role models for other Civil Servants.

The event is a mix of self-discovery, personal development, team building, and leadership. Delegates will work together in cross-departmental teams to identify a project, which supports the ethos of A Brilliant Civil Service and which they will develop and deliver over 12 months. It will provide opportunity to work collaboratively with Civil Servants from other government departments based in the South West.

Places are very limited, so if you are interested then check your internal departmental communications for more information on how to apply. Our deadline for nominations from departments is 28th June 2019, but your department may have set an earlier deadline.

If you have any questions please email Heidi

The Academy made the headlines in Civil Service News with this article about the ability to inspire and motivate delegates.

Is there something similar for grades HEO and above?
