This session is intended for women in the South West who are interested in a digital career or furthering their career within digital. It will include a mixture of presentations, personal stories and question and answer discussions. Senior roles with the digital and technological space still tend to be overwhelmingly filled by men, and this event will help attendees to:
- understand the skills needed to be effective in this field
- build their confidence to encourage more female applicants
- dispel myths about the sector - some of the careers available within digital and how it isn't all about coding!
This informal event will be delivered by colleagues working in Digital, Data and Technology Services, Defra. There will be an opportunity for everyone to share personal experiences and learn about the skills that are essential to being successful in digital, plus cover top tips on building a rewarding career.
