LEEDS EBPOver the summer, some of Leeds' young people will spend a week at the Herd Farm Activity Centre, Eccup Reservoir, Harrogate Road, Leeds on Friday 24 July, Friday 14 August or Friday 28 August to help build their skills and confidence. They will be challenging themselves with some exhilarating adventure activities and , in the classroom, they will learn how to use their skills in an interview situation. Leeds Education Business Partnership need volunteers to conduct mock interviews at the end of the residential week. Volunteers will need to be willing to take on the challenge of getting the best out of these young people and help them see they can succeed at interview. Volunteers will conduct 2  half hour interviews with different candidates and give constructive feedback on their performance.

Mentors Needed:  Could you help a young person increase their confidence, self-esteem and aspirations for the future? Would you like to help them understand what will make them employable and help them to progress into further training or employment? Leeds Education Business Partnership (EBP) is looking for people to act as mentors to unemployed 16 and 17 year olds to help them transition into work. Mentors would typically meet with a mentee on a fortnightly basis at a mutually convenient location in the south, east or west areas of Leeds, for an hour session. The meetings are focused on confidence building and career and training pathways. Full training and support is provided to volunteer mentors. The initial training session lasts for half a day and volunteers will be invited to this in September. After training, volunteers are under no obligation to take on a mentee if they decide it is not for them.Leadership cloud Border
