Helping to make diversity and inclusion top of our agenda

Civil Service Local in the East of England is keen to support greater cross-departmental working on Diversity and Inclusion and to support this we are holding a Discovery Session on Tuesday 26 January 2016.

This event is intended to be the pre-cursor to a potential ongoing network and will provide space for members to meet, discuss common issues of interest and perhaps start to share solutions!

So whatever your concern – be it trying to attract more diverse candidates into the Civil Service, trying to implement reasonable adjustments in the workplace for a disabled member of staff, or to simply try and make your workplace feel more inclusive, this network could help you.

It all takes place in Cambridge between 10.30am and 12.30pm at Eastbrook, Shaftesbury Road, Cambridge CB2 2DF.

Activities will include a guest speaker, an examination of the current diversity within the Civil Service and a chance to talk to your counterparts from across the region about the topics which are important to you.

Staff at any grade can be a member of this group, so, if you have a particular interest in this subject and would like to come to the meeting please contact Mina Joshi who is helping to set up the event.
