I am really excited to be involved in helping to bring together the digital community across the region and explore how we can create value, particularly around addressing the CSL Strategic Themes.
I will be working very closely with Helen Gregg who is leading the CS LocalNorth East network and we are both keen the two networks work closely together especially where there is opportunity to take advantage of scale economies.
The Yorkshire and Humber Digital Network launch event will be on 15 November at the HMRC office in Shipley and I hope we can achieve a good representation from across the Civil Service. Please sign up via Eventbrite making sure you include a valid work email address. In the meantime please feel free to contact me at email@example.com if you would like more information. We look forward to seeing you there.
Before I end this blog, I thought it would be good to share a little information about me. I work as a Digital Implementation Lead in one of the customer groups within HMRC. The role involves working closely with our business areas and IT Teams to help land Digital Change projects and programmes. Outside of work, I enjoy walking, cycling and following football (keeping my fingers crossed Leeds United maintain their current good form!).
My current role is Head of Digital Engagement for HMRC’s Behaviour, Insight and Research team however, I will be leaving HMRC soon to take up a new role with DWP Digital.
I am very much looking forward to developing the Digital Network so that we can share experience and build relationships across the Civil Service. I would encourage anyone who is interested to join the group, particularly those in smaller departments (so that we can ensure we have a proportionate representation).
I will be working with Kam Rai who is leading the Yorkshire and Humber network and we are both keen that the two networks work closely together.
I hope you will join us at the launch of the network at Benton Park View in Newcastle on 22 November. Please sign up via Eventbrite making sure you include a valid work email address. In the meantime I would welcome your ideas as to how we make this a productive, and more importantly, enjoyable event. Please feel free to contact me at Helen.Gregg@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk (from mid-October please change the HMRC to DWP) with your ideas for this. We look forward to seeing you there
