As a project volunteer, you will use the skills and experience you’ve built up as a civil servant to provide learning opportunities and mentoring for offenders. You will be part of a cross-Government team that will help to rehabilitate and educate offenders, building their confidence through sessions on job-readiness, CV-writing, interview skills and paths to self-employment.
We’re now recruiting volunteers to take part in the next stage of the project, at HM Prison Thorncross, Warrington, in late March. Volunteers will need to be vetted before taking part, and you’ll have to commit to spending approximately half a day for eight to 10 weeks on the project, plus pre- and post-project events.
If you’d like to get involved, complete an expression of interest form using this link
The form provides further information about the job role, and you will need to obtain your line manager’s consent for your involvement.
