Civil Service Awards 2014 nomination.

The award for which we’ve been shortlisted recognises a commitment to Civil Service Reform and working towards an CS Local NW Teamexceptional Civil Service for the future. It’s about being more skilled, more open, and working across teams and departmental boundaries.

Kathie, Jayne, Janice and I are all very excited about the nomination, but we wanted to say a big thank you to the people who have helped contribute significantly to this success:

  • A hugely supportive Steering Group who allow us to push the boundaries and give us the autonomy to drive forward with our ideas.
  • The wider CS Local North West team that works tirelessly to manage and maintain the extensive programme of activities we have in the north west of England. The team is made up of civil servants from a range of departments, who take time out of their normal day jobs to support the programme.
  • The civil servants who get involved with our activities, whether that’s a community based initiative like the Secondary Schools projects or something internal, like attending one of our Discovery Sessions. No matter what you’ve done, it’s this engagement that has been critical to our success.
  • National CS Local colleagues, who’ve been hugely supportive and also helped rollout some of our products, like the Academy, in other parts of the country.

So, a huge thank you from the team and, regardless of what happens on the night, the North West can be extremely proud of its contribution towards shaping and building the Civil Service of the future.

 Fingers crossed!
