In a recent survey by the Money Advice Service 40% of people admitted to not being in control of their finances. Many adults in the UK do not have the means to deal with day-to-day events and 21 million people have less than £500 to cover an unexpected cost.
In time for Christmas, our very own occupational charity – The Charity for Civil Servants – has launched its Budget Calculator; a tool enabling any civil servant concerned about their finances to quickly see whether they need to take urgent action or not.
Along with the Budget Calculator, the Charity has also refreshed and updated the Money Advice content on its website.
