The Civil Service Hearing Disability Network and Civil Service Visual Disability Network were set up earlier this year to provide support to those who may need it. The networks are open to civil servants with a hearing and/or visual disability, those who care for someone with a hearing or visual disability, and those who are simply interested in learning more. The groups provide a network of advice, contacts and information related to hearing and visual disability.

The initial meetings for both networks were successful, and as such we are keen to invite civil servants across all grades and departments to join us for sessions that will focus on sharing information and presentations, offering support and planning events on hearing and visual disability across the civil service. Level of involvement with the network is entirely up to the individual, and there is no obligation to attend every meeting.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Civil Service Hearing or Visual Disability networks, please contact gary.wilson1@justice.gov.uk or vivien.coward@apha.gov.uk who would love to hear from you.

Updated 3 Jun 2021 : previously the chair of both networks was Simon Skerrit - the networks contact details are now gary.wilson1@justice.gov.uk and vivien.coward@apha.gov.uk
