Come and join us in 26 March 12.30 - 2.30pm Quarry House, Leeds, LS2 7UE
The event will start with a short presentation and discussion from CS Local around what we are doing and how you can benefit from our offer to local civil servants.
The centrepiece of the event will be a - a one hour ‘Stand and Deliver’ session from the Royal School for Speech and Drama’. This will provide participants with the tools and techniques to incorporate performance skills into their personal interactions and verbal communications. Participants will discover innovative and dynamic approaches that will aid them in building rapport quickly and effectively, that will aid them in a variety of situations from engaging with colleagues at meetings to delivering effective presentations. You will learn tools and techniques to help you engage people quickly, use vocal techniques to strengthen your vocal delivery and help bring the content of your interactions or presentations to life. This highly interactive and participatory session will give you some valuable skills and techniques to make your communication more dynamic and improve how you present yourself and your message to others.
Finally Keystone (the HEO-SEO section of the FDA who are partnering us in this event and funding the ‘stand and deliver’ session’) will do a short presentation on their work to support civil service managers which includes their ‘Keyskills’ career development offer (which is open to all but at a fee or reduced rate for members).
