The next Junior Leaders Networking Event (JLNE) is an opportunity to improve your confidence, resilience and personal growth.

About JLNE and its achievements so far

The Junior Leaders Networking Event (JLNE) is a cross government network operating across the East, South East and London (ESEL) that connects colleagues in grades AO to EO in an environment where they learn and hear from senior leaders, network with their peers and receive tools to enhance their personal and professional development.

During the last 2 years, JLNE has reached and supported over 1500 junior colleagues. In 2019, four successful face to face events were held across four locations within ESEL.  Last year, JLNE went virtual due to the pandemic with five bite-size sessions covering Career Development, Wellbeing, Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination, Leadership and Personal Branding were held over the course of one day and each event was very well attended.

Interactive sessions coming in April 2021

Join other colleagues across government from Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 April for 3 interactive days of learning, gaining new insight to enhance your Civil Service career, wellbeing and confidence. The morning sessions will run from 10am to 11am and the afternoon sessions from 2pm to 3pm each day.

Back by popular demand, and following feedback from our November event, we are running sessions on Success Profiles and Interview Preparation (mornings and afternoons on different days), so you should find a session to suit. There are two additional sessions on 'Building Resilience' and 'Finding Your Confidence'.

You only need to register for 1 success profiles and 1 interview session. Both sessions cover the same content.

Registration is required for each session, please use the relevant links above.

Joining instructions will be emailed to registered participants, a few days before the event. The event will most likely be hosted on MS Teams and recorded.

If having booked a ticket you are no longer able to attend, please ensure you cancel your ticket promptly, so another colleague has the opportunity to join the session.

JLNE success stories

Why join us? Well, here are some positive impacts from a couple of delegates who have previously attended:

I just wanted to let you know that I applied for and was successful in a Deputy Team Leader role- the junior leaders session was a great catalyst for my self confidence in going for it and I hope the initiative continues".

"Every session made you want to engage and you learnt something new. It was lovely that this was being shared and inspired colleagues to think outside the box and explore options.

Do you have any good news story as a result of attending any JLNE event? We’d love to hear yours. Email JLNE success stories to share yours.
