Build your networks and capability by Shadowing and Mentoring in Scotland

Posted by: and , Posted on: - Categories: Scotland

CS Local Scotland are pleased to launch our Connections Strands to give cross-government Shadowing and Mentoring opportunities in Scotland.

ShadowMe

Over the last few weeks we have been working to secure a mix of opportunities to shadow different job roles in different Departments across Scotland. Whilst we will continue to add roles and Departments we feel we have enough to get going with this now, and learn as we grow.

Interested? Read the guidance below and once you are sure this is for you and have had a conversation with your line manager about it, contact Alistair.Hill@cma.gov.uk with details of the opportunity you are interested in.

MentorMe

Additionally, though there are various opportunities to secure mentors, through Departmental schemes, MentorMatch and CS Learning, we have responded to a request to secure some ‘local’ mentors from different Departments to support requests for mentoring in Scotland. So, over the last few weeks we have gathered details of people who are willing to provide mentoring support, and again, whilst we will continue to add to this list we’re launching now to enable us to learn through the early implementation phase.

Interested? Read the guidance below supporting  benefits of having a cross-government mentor and once you are sure this is for you and have had the conversation with your line manager, register your interest with joyce.lawson@hmrc.gov.uk

We are aware that the link functionality is not currently working - we are working on a different solution but for now please clerically search for the reference number in the appropriate document.

This scheme will not be a success unless we continually refresh the opportunities available - Think you can give time to host a shadowing opportunity or to be a mentor? Read our previous blog and pass your details to YVONNE.ROBERTSON@dwp.gov.uk

This looks absolutely fantastic and something that I have certainly been looking for. I hope to see something available for the north west and Wales soon!
